Hope is a Breath Away
Rev. Denise Beard     12/14/2023

So many have walked away from all manner of relationships, fellowships, even careers. So many pressures and so much pain.
I have been sorely troubled by the pain I see all aroiubd me, So much so that at times I even pull back from normal activities lest I fall into despair. Like many who are pulling back from what is loved because of the struggles that are all around us.

Recently, I was in a quiet place and felt a level of dread. I was seeking the Lord and was impressed there was a death close at hand.

I asked the Lord who?
But felt it was not a person.
It is a what..... it is hope.
He led me to share this.

“For thus says the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem: break up your fallow ground, and do not sow among thorns!” (Jer. 4:39 NKJV).

He said it's time to begin again. That even in the process of grieving losses, He is there developing new perspectives, compassion, maturity, selflessness, resilience, ability, and faith.

I feel so strongly that in this moment. There are choices to make and that we cannot, we must not make decisions based on fear.  In this moment hope is a thought away, a choice, your choice. The most powerful thing you can do right now is to forgive Whoever hurt you or whatever hurt you.  Ask God to forgive you, and because of Christ, receive His forgiveness. It is the singularly how the healthiest thing you can do. And the surest way to set your plow in the ground to begin afresh.

I pray that as you read this Hope will begin to grow. It grows each day and grows stronger with every challenge and success. Even failures become vehicles of grace when we are walking with the Lord.

Don't give up, I believe in you.
Love you,
Denise.
