The Trouble With Worry
Rev Denise Beard     12/14/2023

What are you afraid of- do you have a worry that you keep close? The things of this world can scream, it vibrates with the echo of countless generations who have suffered every horror known to man.  We are each unique but beloved, NOTHING is new to man under God's sun.  What you are holding is real and is attended to by spirit and is seen in the heavens and by the darkness. Yet the darkness can not overcome the light. What a relief.

How about we try this? A reframing, a recycling, call it what you will. Take today's largest looming concern and trade it in. No matter how messy, how big, how little, how expensive or how threatening, just take it and throw it off of a cliff into the sea of God’s affection.

I am asking you to let yourself off the hook for needing to be hyper-vigilant, self deprivation ends now. This is a new day, shout it out that all of heaven is at your bidding. The sacrifice of Christ has already seen you through this day victorious.

My sweet, sweet friend, you have it here in black and white. God Himself has prepared a safe room for you in the storm. Enter in and repeat after me.....

Philippians 4:6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
